Focus and Scope
The International Journal of Health Research publishes original, peer-reviewed research on human health and healthcare, including clinical medicine, public health and epidemiology, nursing and allied health, nutrition and lifestyle medicine, mental and behavioral health, global health, and health systems and policy. The journal welcomes quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods studies, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses, and encourages interdisciplinary work that translates research into practice. It is especially interested in research from low- and middle-income countries and from under-represented communities.

Authors retain copyright of their work. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Research and Publication Ethics
Research involving human participants must have been approved by an appropriate ethics committee and conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Authors are expected to follow recognized reporting guidelines (such as CONSORT, PRISMA, and STROBE), register clinical trials in a public registry, and disclose all funding sources and conflicts of interest. The journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Sponsorship Disclosure
The journal receives institutional support from its founding academic partners and does not accept commercial sponsorship. Editorial decisions are made independently of any funding source, and editors and reviewers are required to disclose potential conflicts of interest.

History of the Journal
Founded in 2010, the journal was established to provide an international forum for health research that bridges clinical practice, public health, and health policy. Since its founding, it has grown into a multidisciplinary journal publishing research from authors across more than sixty countries.

Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries, allowing those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
