Authors retain the copyright to their work and grant JACVS the right of first publication.

This licence permits others to share and adapt the published material for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author or authors, a link to the licence is provided, and any modifications are clearly indicated.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted images, artworks, photographs, archival materials, or other third-party content included in their submissions. Any material subject to different licensing terms must be clearly identified in the published article.
